The Porta Lighthouse on Cies Islands, Galicia, Spain.
In the southern area of the Isla do Faro, one of the three islands that make up this group, is the Faro da Porta. It is one of the few lighthouses in Galicia that works with solar panels.
Its construction dates from the beginning of the 20th century, around 1918, and its size is much smaller than the other lighthouse on the island. Between both, the main similarity is their white color and the impressive views they hide.
The Faro da Porta is located 53 meters above sea level.
This monument is reached along the south coast through a perfectly indicated route. Once there, the path that ends at the cliffs is surprising, prior to the impressive views of the Island of San Martiño, the only one of the three that cannot be accessed. From the lighthouse you can also see the remains of an old fort, the most important archaeological site in the archipelago. (Description from engaliciamorate.es)
